Kelsey Barklund

Kelsey Barklund, DPT

Kelsey Barklund, DPT specializes in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Pelvic floor therapy is often the preferred method of treatment for pelvic pain, incontinence, pre and postpartum changes, pre- and post-prostatectomy symptoms, endometriosis, vaginismus, and more!

10% of men and 25% of women experience incontinence, let's help get that number closer to 0%. Signs and symptoms may include increased urgency, frequency, or leakage during exercises, laughing, coughing, sneezing. PT can help address these symptoms and improve quality of life by addressing the strength and coordination of your pelvic floor muscles.

Pelvic floor physical therapy can consist of a variety of treatments. Knowledge is our most powerful tool, with patient education at the forefront of care you can understand your body and how it functions. Manual techniques, clothed and/or unclothed, help relax tight muscles and encourage proper recruitment of weak muscles. While exercises targeted to your pelvic floor and surrounding core musculature help with coordination and control while lifting, walking, squatting, and recreating. Appointments are paired with a home exercise program that is adjusted to your lifestyle and needs.

If you or someone you know would benefit from this therapy give us a call (802) 864-0015 to set a pelvic floor evaluation with Kelsey.
